D.j. Taber has done it again… inspired, motivated and of course with style. He traveled down to Atlanta, College Park. And Killer Mike has his own barber shop. The key point that was pivotal was “FIRE YOUR BOSS & BECOME YOUR OWN BOSS”. <—- The advice those who want to take a risk to succeed take.

Here is what D.J had to say about the experience.

“Alot of people say today’s rappers aren’t rapping about nothing important and not inspiring their listeners. True, in a lot of cases but not all. In 07 I bought a mixtape from Killer Mike after he quit working for OUTKAST and went independent and that was the theme of the record. “FIRE YOUR BOSS & BECOME YOUR OWN BOSSS” and after my real estate mentor misled me, and losses in Vegas and the Domincan Republic, I took his advice and become my own boss (Barber). I was able to let him known he inspired me, and it turns out through TWITTER I’m inspiring him!” – D.J. Taber <— SWEET! Check out the video here!

Talk in the City has stumbled upon something rather neat!! A new clothing line to grace the presence of the Seattle Scene. It’s called HandsIn Apparel.

HandsIn is about comfortable and high quality wearable artwork. (You already know the ladies of Talk in the City love all things Arts!!) These guys simply LOVE what they do! Every one of their designs are in-house, from the original sketch to the final product, they don’t outsource. Not big on mass produced fashion, we prefer to keep our print runs limited to keep you looking fresh. With a passion for their home in the NW, all designs will have a central theme based on Washington (Seattle in specific) culture. HandsIn was conceptualized by founder Abe Schmidt in early 2011 and the online store went up just a month ago. “Our first shirt sold out in 2 days thanks to a feature on a popular blog (Thrillist) and the pre-orders have been filling our inbox. Thanks to this fast response to the brand, we have ordered 2 new designs and all shirts moving forward will include custom woven tags on the highest quality cotton tees. Moving forward, we hope to increase our product line and increase our fan base, eventually opening a store front by mid next year”. Check out the website!! HandsIn <—- Website!

Talk about getting things moving! This is what it’s all about. Creating an idea/dream and turning it into a reality. Super sweet!! Here is a little more about the Founder!

Founder Abe Schmidt moved to Seattle from Arizona about 3 years ago after extensive research on a relocation spot and visits to every state in the US. Co-founder Robert Sullivan also moved to Seattle a few years ago and now calls Seattle his true home. With a huge passion for everything Seattle their ability to experience the exciting things Seattle has to offer on a daily basis has given them a fresh perspective and vast design inspiration.
